Hi there, I’m Ivu

Autistic empath, who spreads ayurvedic wisdom, holistic care and music - and who somehow ended up in the Himalayas.

Autistic holistic guide?

Why not?
Spiced up by ADHD.
And thus - a multifaceted, creative, intuitive expert.

Especially on:

Holistic self-care, art, music and sound, nervous system, digestion, sleep, self-worth issues, psychosomatic issues, mental health issues, all things spiritual - and mentorship in all of the above.

Cause once you guide yourself through 30 years of migraines, chronic inflammation and all digestive issues known to human kind, it’s sort of inevitable you’ll learn a thing or two.

Now, I offer such guidance to others.

In Dharamshala, I keep studying ayurveda with Dr. Arun Sharma and buddhism at Tushita. Apart from that, I write songs, jam and sing with other musicians, I paint, create podcasts, marvel at life and sometimes receive His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s teachings in his temple in McLeod Ganj.

Nope.
You couldn’t put me in a box, if you tried.

ASPIE IN THE HIMALAYAS?

I grew up in a tiny village in the Czech countryside. Later, I studied Humanities at Charles University in Prague. I've always loved asking big questions, creating things, and sharing what I’ve learned.

After university, I spent a few years teaching English. That eventually turned into travelling the world to study and teach street dance, which later led me to yoga. And yoga brought me to India and my beloved Bhagsu. And here we are.

This entire time, I have also been deeply in love with music, dance, painting, good food, travelling, and the fine art of doing absolutely nothing.

Yes. I think Bhagsu hits the spot just right.

AUTISM - MY GREATEST TEACHER

I was late-diagnosed. Of course.

Until then, I lived with an overwhelming fear of change, moving, and anything unfamiliar—without understanding why.

Then I found dance. Yoga. Travelling.

Without even realising it, I was constantly exposing myself to the very things my nervous system feared the most. And I was expanding exponentially - whilst slowly burning out at the same time.

My life gradually became a collection of turning points: studying in Los Angeles, visiting India for the first time, getting divorced, getting sick, returning to Dharamshala to recover from all that, and eventually deciding to stay indefinitely.

None of it was easy.

Every step of the way stretched me, exhausted me, and tested my limits. But they all slowly carried me to where I am today.

Sometimes it hurt.
Sometimes it was frustrating.
Sometimes I was hanging by a thread.
And sometimes it brought overwhelming waves of gratitude, relief, and love for this entire existence.

The longer I stay on this journey, the more I realise that things are rarely what they first appear to be.

The diagnosis only confirmed that :)

CHRONIC ILLNESS - MY SAVIOR

The biggest turning point of my life began seven years ago.

Burnout, divorce, chronic digestive disease and migraines left me so drained that for months I could eat nothing but rice water and lentil broth.

I've been through what felt like every digestive diagnosis imaginable: reflux, gastritis, acute inflammation of the small intestine, Crohn's disease, IBS, haemorrhoids, and painful anal fissures.

Insomnia, anxiety and depression became my buddies.

Recovering from the loss of dance, yoga, sleep, my beloved food, my energy - and even my hair - took years.

Ayurveda and holistic healing guided me through that chapter and, quite literally, gave me a second chance at life.

I had to learn everything again.

How to eat.
How to sleep.
How to walk.
How to live.

From scratch.

One lesson kept returning:

Sometimes the greatest tragedy of our lives slowly reveals itself to be one of the greatest gifts.

My illness led me to Ayurveda. To my own body and mind.
And eventually to packing a bag, moving to India, and dedicating my life to exploring holistic healing.

For that, I will always be grateful.

Holistic healing is, above all, a journey back to yourself.

If you're somewhere in that ballpark, and not quite sure where to go next...
Or if you're ready to take the first step, however big or tiny…
